NX Assembly should have write access within Teamcenter for the 3DCS data to get saved within the Assembly.
3DCS Analysis results and Reports can be saved within Teamcenter directly. This can be achieved by setting up the environment variable.
In the system env variable set up these 2 lines.
With "DCS_NX_PLM_STORAGE_REQUIRED" set to yes, the Analysis results(.hst and .hlm) and the Reports(PPT, Word and Excel) gets saved into Teamcenter.
With "DCS_NX_PLM_STORAGE_LOCATION" set, the wtx file backup and export .wtx file will get stored to this specified location.
If NX is launched without Teamcenter these environmental variables will still be used to control the Results Reports and .wtx files save location.
With "DCS_NX_PLM_STORAGE_REQUIRED" set to yes and a path defined in "DCS_NX_PLM_STORAGE_LOCATION" then the Analysis Results (.hst, .hlm) Reports( PPT, Word, Excel and HTML) and .wtx backup and Export .wtx file all get saved to this location.
Run-analysis Dialog with Teamcenter Save
Run Analysis dialog will not show the file path when NX launched from Teamcenter. The user can give unique names for the files which get saved in Teamcenter within the Model location.
Note:
•A warning dialog pops up if the user tries to overwrite the files in teamcenter.
Similarly, trying to load the .hst and .hlm file will open a window that list all the corresponding files saved within the model from which the user can pick the required file.
Report Generation with Teamcenter Save
The Report Generation dialog will only displays the file name which is editable by the user and does not show any file path. The Reports will be saved in teamcenter within the model location.
