Examples and Tutorials

3DCS provides several example models for routine illustration and demo purposes. Below are links to the available Tutorials, Reference and Example Models. The user can explore each model; Nominal Build, Run a Simulation; expand the 3DCS Model Navigator and search the through the GD&T

 

 

The Example Models can be found in the following default directories:

 

Tutorial Models:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\DCS\3DCS_All Platforms_8_0_0_1\tutorials

Example Model:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\DCS\3DCS_All Platforms_8_0_0_1\3DCS CAD & Example Models

Reference Models:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\DCS\3DCS_All Platforms_8_0_0_1\3DCS CAD & Example Models\Reference Models

 


 

The example models available for 3DCS are limited to the version of the CAD system and the version of 3DCS. DCS will create models and tutorials for the basic versions of 3DCS and the CAD system.

Models saved in Design Variation Modeler and Mechanical Variation Modeler can be loaded in Variation Analyst Models

All platforms can open or import a WTX from/to any version.
