The following is an overview of the process for distributing DCS software.
| 1. | Customer contacts the appropriate DCS sales personnel with a request for Software (New Purchase or Update). |
| 2. | Sales Rep sends License Initiation Software (LIS) to customer |
| 3. | Customer forwards LIS software to a Systems Engineer for processing. System Engineer copies LIS to each machine that DCS software will be licensed to and executes the program. Company, User Name, Email, Phone and Fax information must be inserted. The Save button on LIS will store the collected information to a text file. The LIS text file should be saved with the machine name title for tracking purposes. |
4. Customer forwards LIS text file to DCS sales.
5. DCS distributes License(s) to customer alongside getting them setup with file-share access in order to download the software.
6. Customer forwards software and license(s) to Systems Engineer to perform installation and licensing.
The licensing process is complete. Minor updates can be distributed to the customer with no further action. Major updates will require the creation of a new license file, which can be sent at the time of said major update.
