Window Menu

The Window menu has commands which control the arrangement of the 3DCS windows and window icons, and can change the active window.

 

 

new_tree_window_24 New Tree Window

Generates and displays a new Tree window.  This is a useful tool for viewing large assembly trees.  When two or more tree windows are open, each window could zoom in to a specific section of the tree.

 

Procedure:        

•Make active a window from the desired 3-DCS model.

•Click on Window arrowDCS new_tree_window_24 New Tree Window.

•This generates and displays a new Tree window for the active 3-DCS model.

 

new_navigation_window_24 New Navigation Window

Generates and displays a new Navigation window.  This is a useful tool for modeling information.  When two or more Navigation windows are open, each window could zoom in to a specific section of the tree.

 

Procedure:        

•Make active a window from the desired 3DCS model.

•Click on Window arrowDCS new_navigation_window_24 New Navigation Window.

•This generates and displays a new Navigation window for the active 3-DCS model.

 

new_graph_window_24 New Graph Window

Generates and displays a new Graph window.  Multiple Graph windows can be used for a single model for ease of viewing different sections of the model at the same time.

 

Procedure:        

•Make active a window from the desired 3-DCS model.

•Click on Window arrowDCS new_graph_window_24 New Graph Window.  

•This generates and displays a new Graph window for the active 3-DCS model.  

 

tile_cascade_24 Cascade

Re-sizes and arranges all open windows in 3DCS in a stacked and staggered fashion.  Used when all open windows are disorganized and need to be viewed by arranging them one behind the other.

 

Procedure:        

•Open all windows that need to be cascaded.

•Click on Window arrowDCS tile_cascade_24 Cascade. This displays all the open windows in the program one behind the other with each widows title bar showing.

 

tile_horz_24 Tile Horizontally

Re-sizes and arranges all open windows in 3DCS above each other from top to bottom.  Used when all open windows are disorganized and need to be viewed by arranging them horizontally.  The active window is put on the top.

 

Procedure:        

•Open all windows that need to be tiled horizontally.

•Click on Window arrowDCS tile_horz_24 Tile Horizontally.

 

tile_vert_24 Tile Vertically

Re-sizes and arranges all open windows in 3DCS next to each other from left to right.  Used when all open windows are disorganized and need to be viewed by arranging them left to right.  The active window is put on the left.

 

Procedure:        

•Open all windows that need to be tiled

•Click on Window arrowDCS tile_vert_24 Tile Vertically.

 

tile_arrange_24 Arrange Icons

Arranges the icons of the minimized windows at the bottom of the 3DCS screen.  

Procedure:        

Click on Window arrowDCS tile_arrange_24 Arrange Icons. This arranges all the icons of minimized windows at the bottom of the screen for easier access and selection.
