The CATIA V5 workbenches used by the 3DCS modelers are:
•Part Design
•Assembly Design
•Product Functional Tolerancing & Annotation
•Functional Tolerancing & Annotation
•3DCS Tolerance Analysis
These workbenches have specific menu options and tool-bars available.
Workbenches designation:
•To create/modify a part the user must double-click on the part. This will switch to the Part Design workbench.
•To modify a product the user must double-click on the product. This will switch to the Assembly Design workbench.
•To add part GD&T select the Functional Tolerancing & Annotation.
•To add product GD&T select the Product Functional Tolerancing & Annotation.
•To work on the 3DCS model switch to 3DCS Variation Analysis.
How to add 3DCS workbench as a favorite?
1.Go to Tools 
Customize
2.In the Start Menu tab, select the workbench to add to your favorites.
Examples of workbenches are 3DCS Tolerance Analysis and Assembly Design. This will allow you to switch between 3DCS and Assembly Design quickly, saving some button clicks.
