Creating an APQP Report

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is a method to plan and report an assembly process.  The assembly sequence, product measurements and the manufacturing operations measurements are assessed. 3DCS APQP Report Generator reports these outcomes using the Navigation Tree, Measurements and the Monte Carlo Analysis Summary Statistics.

The 3DCS APQP Reports are: Process Flow Diagram and DFMEA.

Process Flow Diagram - Assembly sequence using the Navigation Tree and the assembly Moves.

DFMEA - Features and Measures of Special Product and Process Characteristics

Using the Report Generation dialog, select the APQP Report required. Select the Type: Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet will be used for this document. Select Cover Image, Move, Measure, and APQP Report.

Process Flow Diagram: reports on the Navigation Tree and the Moves. At least one measurement is required to run the analysis summary. Only the Monte Carlo Run is required, and only nominal is required to be reported on.  All other analysis and fields are optional.

DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) reports on the Point to Point assembly measurements. Apply these abbreviations to the measure name:

Product Design or Manufacturing Process

SP - Special Products - Measurements that indicate a possible Product Design/Engineering Failure

PC - Process Critical - Measurements that indicate a flawed output due to the manufacturing process

Severity

CC - Critical Characteristic - Measurements that indicate non-compliance to any regulatory requirement or potential degradation of occupant safety

SC - Significant Characteristic - Measurements that indicate a significant affect to customer satisfaction
