Assembly Datum Creation Procedure:

 

From the Model Creation Toolbar, select GD&T Icon, click the Top Assembly.

•The GD&T list dialog will open for the Assembly.  

 

•Click [Add] Datum Feature, you'll see the dialog shown below.

 

•Change the name to "Asm Datum D"

•Change the label to D

•Under the Datum feature tab, Click [Add] and Select the highlighted Features.

 

 

•Select [OK] to finish and save the Asm Datum D GD&T dialog.

•Again click [Add] Datum Feature from the GD&T List dialog, you'll see the dialog shown below.

 

•Change the name to "Asm Datum E"

•The Datum Label should be automatically set to E.

•Under the Datum feature tab, Click [Add] and Select the four highlighted hole Feature.

 

•Select [OK] to finish and save the Asm Datum E GD&T dialog.

•Save the Model.
