Manufacturing Simulation

A Manufacturing Simulation is a feature in CATIA V6 (2013x and 2014) and 3DEXPERIENCE (2014(x)-20XXx) necessary to creating a 3DCS model. Below is the process to adding a Manufacturing Simulation in 3DEXPERIENCE.

 

 

Procedure:

1.In 3DEXPERIENCE, search and open a product file, or create a new product.

2.Highlight the Insert Insert_icon_V6 icon and select Content. Scroll or expand the New Content list and look for Simulation section and expand

a.For 2013x and 2014 users, go to PLM Access and select New.... The New Content list will appear. Scroll down to the Simulation section, or search Manufacturing Simulation,

Right-click on Manufacturing Simulation and select Add Favorite. The Manufacturing Simulation will be added to the Insert_icon_V6 list and at the top of the New Content list.

 

 

 

 

3.Double-click the Manufacturing Simulation to create a new Simulation node.

4.If the 3DCS workbench doesn't show, select the south quadrant on the Compass 3DX Compass called Content and Simulation. The 3DCS icon is located in the list.
