3DEXPERIENCE General Information

3DCS is deeply integrated into 3DEXPERIENCE. The following topics highlight some of the main integration areas. Please note these topics discuss 3DEXPERIENCE functions. Refer to the 3DEXPERIENCE Help for more information.

Notes:

3DCS directly uses the CAD geometry in order to define the dimensions used in the model.  3DCS routines can use either.

Points, which may be tied to (Feature Points), or independent of (Coordinate Points) CAD geometry.

Mesh, which is tied to the CAD geometry and represents the "skin" of the part. The mesh accuracy is related to the Minimum Segment # and Feature Locator Point.

For both Mesh and Feature Points, a change to the CAD geometry can be propagated to the DCS model using the Update Model and Update Geometry functions.
