Merge Parts

This function merges two parts to form one part.

Procedure:

Click on Geometry arrowDCS merge_parts_24 Merge Part . This brings up the click Tree window dialog box.  First, click on the part that will merge another part into it (i.e. "TO" part). Then click on the part that is to be merged into the first Part (i.e. "FROM" part).

A dialog box confirming the merging of the two parts is displayed. Clicking on Yes will merge the two parts. Clicking on No will cancel the function.

The two parts are merged. The part that is merged carries the same name and color as the part that it has merged into.

All points, MTM's, DCS Lines and Embedded IGES parametric or embedded entities are copied to the TO node.

Links to the HSF file in the FROM Part are lost and HSF of the TO part are maintained.

The FROM Part node in the tree is deleted after the merge is completed.

Note: The DCS Converter can be used to Combine two SAT files if desired.
