V. Constrain the Pipe and the Muffler (Clamp_Pipe_->_Fixture and Clamp_Muffler_->_Fixture)
The Pipe and the Muffler are constrained to the Fixture_Pipe-Muffler. In the next step they will be attached to each other as a subassembly.
5.1 Clamp the Pipe
Add a Clamp move for the three surface points in the Pipe. Points Pipe_A1, Pipe_A2, and Pipe_A3 will be clamped with Infinite force to the Fixture_Pipe-Muffler using Target Associate direction and Hard (All DOF) joining type.
5.2 Clamp the Muffler
Add a Clamp move for the three surface points in the Muffler. Points Muffler_A1, Muffler_A2, and Muffler_A3 will be clamped with Infinite force to the Fixture_Pipe-Muffler using Target Associate direction and Hard (All DOF) joining type.
Results:
The nominal values of the measurements after constraining the Pipe and the Muffler remain unchanged.
