XVII. UnLock the Upper (UnLockDOF_Upper__B_C)

 

Purpose and usage:

•UnLockDOF is used to release the previously locked in space points, simulating the effect of taking the part off the pins, or unclamping it, so that shift or spring-back can be observed.

18.1 The previously locked B_Upper hole and C_Upper slot will be UnLocked (fixture pins are taken out of the part).

18.1 Select theUnLockDOF icon and choose the CMRailAsm product as parent part.

18.2 Name the move "UnLockDOF_Upper__B_C" with the a description of "UnLockDOF Upper hole and slot".

18.3 Click on the [ClickToAdd] button in the UnLockDOF Pts section and select points B_Upper and C_Upper on the Upper part in the Navigation Tree or from the Graph window.

18.4 Select smoothing check box to use Smoothing.

The completed dialog box should appear as below:

 

 

18.5 Click [OK] to close the UnLockDOF move dialog box.

18.6 Save the model.

 

 

Results:

The nominal values of the measurements after UnLockDOF the Upper will change slightly.
