The purpose of the UnLockDOF move is to release the previously positioned points, simulating the effect of taking the part off the pin, or unclamping it, so the spring-back or shift can be observed.

•Select the UnLockDOF Move Icon and choose the location for the UnLockDOF Move. This move must be at a product level, at least one level above the part, after the Load FEA move.
•Add or Remove object/target points using the Click To Add option.
•Use the Show: Features button to display the points on the screen.
Select the Compliant UnLockDOF Move icon to get the UnLockDOF Move dialog box:
•Name: The move name must be unique to the model.
•Description: This is an optional explanation of what the move does.
•Help: The Help button is context sensitive; it will open the Help Manual at required topic page.
•Operation: Allows the user to select the appropriate operation for the move. The drop-down list lists: Clamp, UnClamp, Weld, LockDOF, UnLockDOF, Contact and DefoMorphing.
•Check the box to Turn On Smoothing.
•UnLockDOF Pts: These are the points that will be released from constraint. The number of points can be from 1 to n.
•Click To Add: Allows the user to Add more unlocked points.
•Switch: will reorder the UnLockDOF points.
•The result of this routine will be a part whose deformation is no longer influenced by the points specified in the UnLockDOF Move dialog box.
