Generating a Report

A report can be generated at the same time the simulation/sensitivity is run. It will include model information along with analysis results. This information will contain model and component information, part notes, action tree, GD&T, MTM and MTM images. The analysis results can come from Monte Carlo analysis, Contributor Analysis, Advanced Analyzer/Optimizer and/or GeoFactor Equation-Based. This type of report is useful to users who want to review all results organized in one document. The report will be created in Microsoft office or Googlesheet workspace depending on the Preference External Application setting.

An HTML Report is nicely formatted to work in most browsers. The report is separated by tabs, detailing Cover Page, Simulation Results, Model Input and more.

An Excel Report uses the capabilities of Excel. The Report's details can be edited and shared easier to other users.

Notes:

When creating a new Note or Editing a Note within any MTM or GD&T dialog, Word will open. Once the user closes Word or the External Editor dialog, the HTML will be saved in the correct format and saved with the model. Users can Close Microsoft Word with the Notes and Images, but will need to select Yes and Yes: first to save the Note and Image to the dcstemp.htm and Yes to save the correct HTML format.
