During the model creation process, or after the model was completed, the geometry of the parts may need to be updated. The new HSF file geometry could be different, therefore some of the modeling points may not be located on the surface anymore.

To update these points, the user can go to the Feature Points dialog, and follow these steps:

1.) Use Select Feature button to select the new surface on which the point will be projected.

2.) Click the Select Point(s) button to select the feature point to be projected.

3.) Click the Convert to DCS Pt(s) button. This will transform the feature point into a coordinate point.

4.) The Move Point(s) option becomes available. Adding a checkmark will move the original point, not create a duplicate point.

5.) Click Project On Feature button to move the point onto the new surface.

 

Note: Multiple points can be projected simultaneously on the same surface.
