Deviate is used to graphically see the variation in a model. •When the parts are Separated, Deviate will vary all 3DCS entities (points, features, lines, circles, and slots) according to the tolerances applied to them (size tolerances and GD&T included). •When a model is Built, Deviate will display the build by build variation by varying the 3DCS entities of the individual parts and assembling them together according to the active Moves.

Deviate will reposition the parts in the graph window for each simulated assembly. Sweep will leave behind a trace of each assembly build.
The parts will start deviating according to the variation in the model. Use the Hold button to pause the deviations, and the Cancel button to stop the deviations.
The Run At box displays the current number of the assembly deviation being performed. The default total steps number is 100000. The Delay drop-down number box lets you select delay times from 0 - 25000 in different increments. The higher the number, the slower the deviation. The default delay number is 0 (the fastest). You may also type in a delay instead of selecting one from the drop-down list.
