The Fast Point Creation function allows the user to create Feature Points, Coordinate Points, and Circle Center Points simply by clicking on a surface, hole, or pin. The point is created based on the position of the mouse. A surface or feature is required to use Fast Point Creation. |
1.Select Feature Point on the 3DCS Model Creation Toolbar.
2.Select [Fast Point Creation] in the Frequently Used Functionality section of the dialog to open the Fast Point Creation dialog. (Also available through the Points dialog).
3.Select any of these options in the Fast Point Creation dialog. The dialog will allow users to start creating Feature Points or Coordinate Points using the mouse left-button and selecting on a feature.
oCenter: Create a point on the axis of a selected Feature of Size.
oCoordinate Point: Create a Coordinate Point at selected location rather than a Feature Point.
▪Circle:
•If active: Creates a Circle Tolerance for the point, applies the size of the feature at the mouse selection.
•If inactive: Creates the Coordinate Point on the axis, no reference to any size.
4.Enter a prefix into the Prefix field if desired.
5.Select location(s) on the parts in the Graphics Window to create Feature Point(s)/Coordinate Point(s).
6.Select [Close] in the Fast Point Creation dialog when finished with Fast Point Creation tool.
