Perpendicularity Measure

The DVTI_perpendicularity Perpendicularity Measure will check the orientation zone variation of a Feature. When multiple features are selected (example: pattern of holes or pins or group of faces), the DVTI_perpendicularity Perpendicularity Measure will report the feature with the largest Recommended GD&T Value.

Notes:

A requirement of using the DVTI_perpendicularity Perpendicularity Measure and getting accurate results is that the feature is perpendicular to the DRF when the model is at Nominal. At Nominal, 3DCS will always output a zone of zero even if there is an angle other than 90° between the feature and the DRF.

Because DVTI_perpendicularity Perpendicularity and DVTI_parallelism Parallelism are actually just special cases of DVTI_angularity Angularity where the basic angle is 90° and 0° respectively, 3DCS uses identical measurement routines for the DVTI_angularity Angularity Measure, DVTI_perpendicularity Perpendicularity Measure, and DVTI_parallelism Parallelism Measure.
