Before Analysis Validation errors

Select the DVTI_dcsValidate Validation icon to check if any errors are in the model. Users can also Validate their model when running a DVTI_Run_Analysis Simulation. The errors shown below are some that can affect the model Simulation and cause failed builds.

Errors can stop or prevent 3DCS from running a Simulation.

Warnings may cause differences in results but are OK to leave in the model. (On/Off tolerances; Scale ≠ 1).

To change a Move type, select the move and change it to a desired move. Here is a list of available moves to change.

Warning

Move is Inactive

Object/Target Points not Within

HolePinPairX is not matched.

This warning shows the From and To features are mismatched, i.e.: Hole to Hole, Pin to Pin or Pin to non-feature of size. Check the Features or Coordinate Points are the correct features of size; switch the Feature Direction; the user may need to fix the CAD. (70447)

Object Points not Within Move Parts

(Warning) Object/Target Primary plane is invalid.

Check the move to see if a feature was selected in two or three primary fields. If one feature has two or more locators, create points to represent different locators.

Check the points using Edit Point and see the Pin features were not update to be all pins.

Invalid Pattern Direction

If a Slot/Tab is selected as the first feature in the Pattern move, the move direction will need to be changed. The Slot/Tab direction is set, instead of the Plane/Axis direction. Change the move's direction to along the Pin/Hole pair axis direction, or along the plane direction.

Warning

Feature Point = <Name>; May be double toleranced.

This warning indicates to double check the tolerance to make sure the Feature Point and the Surface the point is linked to isn't selected in the same tolerance.
