What's New in 3DCS?

Below are a list of changes, enhancements and resolved issues based on the entire 3DCS suite or a specific CAD system available with 3DCS. Please review the list of changes and don't hesitate to ask about a specific change.
Any text written with a teal highlight refers to any Simulation Output change. In other words, some calculation changes were made to either a distribution, a measurement output or DLL result. This could result in minor changes to a previous Model Simulation output.

3DCS Variation Analyst is a powerful dimensional analysis tool that predicts the amounts of variation and highlights the causes for part and process variation in multi-stage assemblies. It empowers manufacturers to prevent build problems by quickly evaluating part tolerances, assembly tooling and sequencing ahead of time in the product development stage, so that desired fit and function specifications are achieved in production.

Enhancements
Contributor Analysis•When Form or Orientation GD&T tolerances have the same Range as Location, the entire range is assigned to Form or Orientation for EWCR. (73174) •Improved the AutoRefine display in the Contributor Analysis to always show the GD&T AutoRefine type (Form, Location, and Orientation) when opening or switching between the GeoFactor or Monte Carlo Analysis windows. (72956) •Fixed a bug in HLM when closing the Equation Based Analysis window, the results will be the same when reopening the window. (73182) •Fixed the Distribution Modal level 2 to be comparable Contributor results with BiMode Distribution. (73268) GeoFactor•Worst Case calculation corrected for hole/pin pair with size tolerances and float applied, when there is enough clearance to always fit the pin into the hole. (73277) Dialogs•Fixed a bug when re-ordering points in the Edit Point dialog, Update Model will not reset the order. (73281) •Fixed a bug in the Capability Tolerance dialog file type showing foreign characters. (73293) •Added Center Tree option to the right click menu for the MTMs in the Feature Info Dialog. (73106) •Fixed a crash when deleting the MTM, GD&T and/or Point list that contained an empty Pattern Move. (73235) Move•If the new Transform Move was made in previous versions (dcu_Xform.dll - Translate by Value), and contained Values or Constants, this may prevent the move from working. Once the move is opened in 8.0.0.1, 3DCS will remove the Value/Constant from the move, allowing Random Value option to work correctly. Only when Random Value is selected. (73353) Model Navigator•Slow-click to change the name in the Model Navigator on any MTM, Point, or GD&T entity, Delete will correctly delete the text of the name and will not delete the item itself. (73178) Report•Running the Batch Processor and creating a Report will contain the MTM and GD&T icons. (73188) •Fields in the HTML report will correctly display the units used in the model. (73190) Validate•Updated the warning for GD&T dialogs with mixed features and AutoRefine active. (73256) User-DLL•Fixed a crash when editing a User-DLL dcu_PolyFloat.dll and editing the float's Rand#2 Angle. (73286)
